Why do we praise God? Because he offers us friendship even though our actions deserve disgrace. Because although he is the creator and sustainer of the universe he is still personally concerned with each one of us. When the Sunday morning service is over and people leave to head home, worship shouldn't end. Worship should encompass all of life. The word "worship" means to attribute worth to God, and we can do that by the words we speak and sing to--and about--him not only on Sunday but every day of the week. It is then that
our actions can speak praise to the Lord as well as our words. How we
serve God is a strong non-verbal statement as to the love and respect
we have for him. |
