Trinity United Reformed & Methodist Church More about us front page
| We have many active ministries in the church which seek to fulfil different aspects of our mission. These ministries are coordinated, under the leadership of the Board, by our four working groups: Church Life - encouraging fellowship and support among the members; Children and Young Peoples - coordinating the complete youth ministry from birth - 18years; Mission - making connections locally, nationally and internationally to help facilitate exploration of the Christian faith; Worship & Ministry - developing Christian education and worship in the church. In addition to these groups, Trinity has an “Eldership”, members who assist in the pastoral care of the church family. |
We have many social get togethers – some just for fun, some to help us learn and understand more of Gods teachings, and some where we do both – these are very clever. Here are just a few opportunities... Saturday Morning Coffee - Tea, coffee and biscuits are served in a relaxed happy atmosphere and there is a home-made cake stall. TRAIDcraft hold a stall at the coffee morning on the last Saturday of the month. Special fund-raising coffee mornings are regularly held. Our Church Weekend for all, is where we go away and spend time in relaxing surroundings getting to know each other better. There is time for socialising, learning, praying, worshipping and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Church Outing - a mid-summer Saturday coach outing for all ages. Recent destinations have included the Bluebell Railway, Cambridge and Salisbury. Church Lunches / Barbecue - are held at regular intervals during the year after the morning service. Choir Practice on Thursday beginning at 8pm. New singers always welcome. Badminton on Thursday from 8.30pm in the hall. |
Faith Discussion Groups: There are many opportunities to learn more about the Bible and how its teaching relates to our daily lives and world events. There are a number of existing groups and new ones begin at regular intervals. Please let the Minister know if you would like to come along. This is a good opportunity to talk informally about the many faith and life questions we all have. Seminars: At regular intervals during the year the Sunday services follow a particular theme. Handouts are given which contain questions / notes for further reflection. Monthly Seminars based on these handouts are open to all and provide an opportunity for feedback, questions and further learning from one another. Prayer Cards: Trinity includes local residents’ concerns during our Sunday morning prayer times. Prayer request cards are delivered and collected on a street by street basis. Bereavement Support: Trinity has trained bereavement visitors who are available to help those who are suffering a bereavement or loss. Local Links: Trinity actively supports many local charities both financially and through the work of members. |
